EXTENSION: FDA May Delay E-Cigarette Rule





A small but interesting read.   There is actually some positive in this small story.

The FDA  is considering extending the July 9 dealdine for people to comment on its proposal to regulate the devices. The agency says it wants to keep e-cigarettes away from children, but strike a balance so that the devices could be available to tobacco smokers.

WTAJ spoke to Mitch Zeller, Director of the FDA Center for Tobacco Products, via satellite. He said, "if we could get especially those smokers who are just going to continue to smoke unable or are unwilling to quit, if we could get all those smokers to completely switch to e-cigarettes, that would be good for public health."

Zeller said while e-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is addictive, they lack the 7,000 chemicals in every puff of cigarette smoke.

He added that the FDA wants to regulate what's in e-cigarettes, water pipes, and nicotine gels, instead of allowing manufacturers to make those decisions.
Zeller says he can't predict when the agency will make a decision on e-cigarettes.

LAWYERS GET RICH: HANA MODZ SUES LOCAL B&M'S







Seems the e-cig community is heating up.  Russ from Clickbang brought this to light on his show this evening.  Russ was scathing in his remarks about Hana Modz.

Hana Modz is now suing local brick and mortars over the "CHANA" mods that have become so popular.   What does this mean for the community and the HANA name? 

When we saw the first DNA30's come out we said NOT to use a logo version because of these legal problems.  Hana does have a registered trademark application in the USA.  This is what this law suit is about.  Its NOT about a cloned mod. You can't patent or trademark a color and a metal box.  Its the HANA name they are going to court over.

Are they going to attempt to sue all the China manufacturers actually making the clones - or just the poor mom and pop shops selling them?   Couldn't this have been settled with a simple phone call or a cease and desist? 

In the end I don't think this looks good for the community. We have enough bullshit going on with the FDA, State, and local governments.   

This does nothing to stop the box mods without their logo being sold and thats what the majority of vendors are selling.

It seems the original story we broke on the Provari replica are true.  The ads for it are being pimped all over Facebook by the China vendors.   Apparently they have made an upgrade to the device - a new top cap extension.    This will allow you to have a flush look to your provari (if you choose).  Will this work on the original provari?  Only time will tell.

 There has been no word from Provape about this replica to date. 

I have been told the current MOQ is 20 and they are $48.00 ea (vendor cost).
